    G&A Partners is partnering with an innovative, midstream company, who is looking for an Assistant Controller to join their dynamic team.



    The Assistant Controller works under the guidance of and assists the Chief Accounting Officer in preparing and reporting financial statements conforming to principles of accounting and regulatory requirements. The main role is to ensure that the prepared financial statements are in accordance with GAAP and the management’s instructions. This will be a developmental role with a lot of potential for growth and would be a great fit for someone looking to make the next step in their career.


    • Assist the Chief Accounting Officer in the direction of the accounting functions of an organization.
    • Assist the Chief Accounting Officer in ensuring timeliness and accuracy of the financial statements.
    • Prepare financial reports and oversee their evaluation.
    • Monitor and manage operational data and maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
    • Calculate financial analysis of the financial statements.
    • Meet accounting financial objectives by analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
    • Prevent inaccuracies in financial statements by setting up internal control systems and adopting proper policies for financial reporting.
    • Assist and coordinate the preparation of FERC reporting quarterly and annually.
    • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
    • Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
    • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
    • Review financial data periodically to ensure fairness and completeness of the data.
    • Develop system controls for ensuring data integrity.
    • Develop proper operational, data documentation and troubleshooting procedures.
    • Act as Liaison for accounting software, system vendors, consultants, and sale points.
    • Conduct account reconciliations and analysis.
    • Assist in the company’s monthly and yearly closing.
    • Assist in special projects whenever asked.
    • Actively engage with the engineering and construction team on all financial aspects of construction in process, including Purchase Orders, reviewing invoicing, cost tracking, and reporting.
    • Engage with Engineering team to maintain a thorough understanding of open projects and related spending needs and timing and in-service date.
    • Identifies and suggests process improvements, including implementation of internal controls.



    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
    • Seven plus years accounting experience (midstream/O&G preferred)
    • Certified Public Accountant or eligible
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
