    One of G&A Partners’ clients, a commercial construction company located in Houston, TX are looking for an experienced Project Manager (Commercial)to join their dynamic team.



    • Examine and evaluate construction plans and related documents (ie. specification manuals) to produce comprehensive bids and budgets for projects.
    • Distribute and manage bidding requests to qualified subcontractors and suppliers ensuring timely and accurate proposals.
    • Lead, plan and oversee assigned construction projects ensuring complete execution and conformity to project contract documents from start to finish within deadlines and budgets.
    • Administer and manage RFIs and submittals as needed.
    • Identify, onboard, foster, and manage subcontractor and supplier relationships who are qualified to complete the project including administering and executing contracts, work/delivery scheduling, and quality/timely completion of work scope.
    • Create and publish an accurate project schedule and drive adherence to the schedule through coordination and leadership of the project team plus oversight and communication of delivery schedules; identify critical milestones in advance and ensure timely completion.
    • Monitor ongoing project progress and through constant communication, as well as routine project management software updates, inform management of progress, alert management to potential issues, identify recommended solutions, and obtain signed/executed change orders in advance of change order work.
    • Partner with internal accounting to ensure project and vendor invoicing is accurate and processed timely.
    • Drive maximum efficiency and quality of all resources and supplies throughout the project plus reinforce compliance with all safety precautions, codes, regulations, and project site organization/cleanliness.
    • Maintain adequate knowledge of and comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards.
    • Obtain necessary licenses, permits and/or insurance required to complete a project plus ensure items are current throughout the duration of the project.
    • Serve as a liaison for inspections and ensure inspections are passed or immediately remediated if issues arise.
    • Ensure retention of project-related documents and completion of close-out requirements.
    • Ensure adherence to Company business processes and policies.
    • Set positive leadership example.


    Required Qualifications:

    • 7+ years of experience in commercial construction or a related field/experience
    • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial construction project process and terminology
    • Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend commercial construction plans and construction documents (including contracts) plus apply meaning of documents to create accurate bids, budgets, and work schedules
    • Proficient with technology including Microsoft Office Suite products - Outlook, Word, and Excel
    • Proven ability to manage and thoroughly execute multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
    • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and lead to a positive resolution
    • Proven leadership and communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in construction-related discipline
    • Proven knowledge and use of construction management software
    • Experience with tilt wall and structural steel projects
