G&A Partners' client is currently seeking a Civil Engineer (PE) to join its team in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: The engineer will be responsible for the design and production of engineering plans for development of all phases of infrastructure and land development projects throughout the project life cycle. This includes planning, subdivision, preliminary engineering, final engineering, permitting and construction support. Work duties may include commercial site design, flood plain analysis, water and wastewater design, storm water conveyance design, detention and water quality pond design, detailed plan review and some construction observation.

Qualifications

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Engineers interact with clients, municipalities, and regulators daily, so good written and verbal communication skills are a must.

Desired Experience:

  • Designing and drafting civil engineering projects
  • Computer drafting using Auto CAD and Civil 3D software
  • Experience with computer modeling using HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS and GIS
  • Communication with governmental agencies and design team
  • Construction documentation
  • Land development design
  • Roadway design
  • Storm water modeling
  • Storm water drainage and detention design
  • Water quality design
  • Water and wastewater design
  • Construction observation experience
