G&A Partners' client is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Assistant to join its team in Lakewood, NJ.
Our client has a proud history beginning over 80 years ago, well before recycling was as popular as it currently is. Today, our client has grown to become one of the largest independent processors of recyclables in the Northeast, serving a large customer base that includes Municipalities, Counties, and Commercial entities.
The Maintenance Mechanic Assistant reports to the Maintenance Mechanic. They are responsible for assisting the mechanic in repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, conveyors, industrial controls, switches, relays, and other production equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic Assistant will help the mechanic in diagnosing machinery components and determining if and when adjustments and repairs are required. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn the Maintenance Mechanic trade from the ground up and is looking to grow in this field. This will be for the third shift (overnight) and is typically 10-hour shifts (Monday to Friday) with occasional Saturday’s.
