G&A Partners' client is currently seeking a Director of Accounting to join its team in The Woodlands, TX.

 

The Director of Accounting will serve as a key member of our client’s executive leadership team. They will provide expert financial guidance and strategy to support the company's continued growth and success. The Senior Controller will oversee all human resources and financial operations. This includes accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, deal analysis, negotiations, employee life cycle management, benefits, payroll, and insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; and developing action plans.
  • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Report financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances, and developing improvements.
  • Manage budget and control expenses effectively.
  • Oversee the investment of operating funds and manage associated risks.
  • Supervise cash management activities.
  • Execute capital-raising strategies to support the company's expansion.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with senior management and external partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA highly preferred.
  • Proven experience as Director of Finance, finance officer, or relevant role.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
    Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP).
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • An analytical mind, comfortable with number
