G&A Partners' client is currently seeking a Project Manager (Landscaping) to join its team in Austin, TX.
Summary
The Project Manager is advanced-level team member, responsible for creating accurate estimates and timelines of project completion and managing field operations. The Project Manager will work with other team members to ensure tasks are completed within the confines of the project and remain aware of how the project is progressing.
• Understand company values and strive to achieve them in all areas.
• Manage field operations for landscape department.
• Conduct regular morning meetings with staff.
• Quality control along with designer, strive to maintain Maas Verde standards on all projects.
• Assist in scheduling of projects.
• Assist the field staff as needed and be available for job site visits with the designer.
• Ensure all necessary materials are available before starting new jobs.
• Ensure all equipment is operational before starting new jobs, coordinate with mechanic ahead of time if something needs to be repaired.
• Keep designer & office updated as to how jobs are progressing:
• Expected finish times
• Issues that arise that would keep job from finishing on time.
• Communicate job timeline with crew before and during jobs.
• Keep costs low and spend wisely
• Ensure jobs are finished on time and on budget.
• Keep track of hours daily.
• Visit current jobs daily.
• Visit finished jobs as needed.
• Ensure that irrigation is set and operational before leaving the job site.
• Inspect properties prior to scheduled start date to properly prepare specific action plan for service.
• Advise if adjustments to the schedule need to be made.
• Assist the maintenance and irrigation departments as needed.
• Keep an updated inventory of all materials and equipment.
• Ensure crews fill out their work orders accurately and turn them in daily.
• Interact with the clients of on-going projects.
• Coordinate sub-contractors as needed for projects.
• Be willing to improve through education and training.
• Network and promote the company in the industry.
• Ability to be on call both nights and weekends.
