G&A Partners' client is currently seeking a Strutural Project Manager to join its team in Austin, TX.

 

Summary

We are seeking a Structural Project Manager with 8 to 12 years of structural engineering design experience. In this role, you will lead and manage structural engineering projects from inception through construction, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality.


The Structural Project Manager will also play an integral role in business development by preparing structural fee proposals, fostering new client relationships, and enhancing existing client partnerships.

Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Serve as the Engineer of Record for all assigned projects, particularly the larger and more complex projects in our portfolio.
  • Oversee the design and production of construction documents for structural engineering projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance with codes, and quality.
  • Plan and coordinate with other project managers the project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Perform rigorous quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of all engineering work and documentation under your supervision.

Team Leadership & Mentoring:

  • Lead and direct engineers in the design and production process, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, ensuring engineers are developing and advancing their technical and professional skills.

Technical Expertise & Collaboration:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and innovative structural engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of structural designs.

Business Development & Client Relations:

  • Prepare and present structural fee proposals for new projects.
  • Cultivate new client relationships and strengthen existing client partnerships to generate new business opportunities.
  • Participate in business development efforts, including networking, marketing, and client outreach to drive the company’s growth.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on structures.

Experience:

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in structural engineering design and project management.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects and teams.
  • Strong experience in overseeing the production of construction documents and performing QA/QC reviews.

Skills:

  • Expertise in structural analysis and design software (e.g., Revit, RAM Structural System, RISA, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and standards (e.g., AISC, ACI, IBC, etc.).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.

Certifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required (SE license a plus).

Salary

Starting wage is $90,000

The starting range represents the low and high end of the G&A Partners’ range for this position. Actual wages will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of G&A’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include commissions, annual bonuses, and program specific rewards. In addition, G&A Partners provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, flexible spending, ancillary benefits, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
