G&A Partners' client is currently seeking a Winding Leadman (Day Shift) to join its team in Spring, TX.

 

Summary

Coordinates with the Day Shift Supervisor to direct the activities of winding area employees by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees.

Responsibilities

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES/ ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • include the following, other duties may be assigned:
  • Must be able to read and write in English or Spanish.
  • Capable of understanding and supporting quality, environmental, occupational health and safety requirements, as applicable to this position.
  • Checks inventory levels and requests reorder as necessary: Resin, Hardener, Glass, Gloves, Acetone and Mold Release.
  • Checks product characteristics including wall thickness.
  • Monitors and adjusts oven temperature, as necessary.
  • Monitors and adjusts resin temperature.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Prepares Efficiency reports
  • Conducts UL tests
  • Changes mandrel heads
  • Ties glass
  • Participates in safety meetings – monthly
  • Cleans and maintains oven
  • Compiles weekly inventory
  • Checks uniforms – weekly
  • Checks fire extinguishers – monthly
  • Drives forklift
  • Identifies and requests non-scheduled maintenance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Winder Operators report to this position.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include assigning work and training employees.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 5 to 10 years production experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary

Starting wage is $20/hr.

The starting range represents the low and high end of the G&A Partners’ range for this position. Actual wages will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of G&A’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include commissions, annual bonuses, and program specific rewards. In addition, G&A Partners provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, flexible spending, ancillary benefits, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
